After being baptized at the age of 14 in the Salinas 1st Ward and remaining there for almost 10 years I moved to King City and became a member of the Greenfield Ward.  My wife Monica and I, along with our four kids Morgan, Tanner, Jenna & Seth-Dawg, now live in The Colony, TX.  I am currently coaching football and baseball and am having fun doing so.  But, I do miss many of the friends I made those years in the Monterey Stake.

We have such fond memories of the Monterey Peninsula area. We remember our many good friends from the Pacific Grove Ward and the Prunedale ward. It's hard to believe so much time has passed!  Mary and I met while in the Pacific Grove ward, then we were newlyweds and new parents in the Prunedale ward. I am practicing dentistry in the north San Diego community of Rancho Bernardo, and we live close by in Poway.

What a wonderful event to celebrate!  Over the years we have been in several Wards and have been blessed by being part of this Stake.  Time changes us all, but memories are forever.  Although we are distant from the area we hold fond memories of the area and all who made us feel at home.
May the Lord continue to bless the Monterey Stake and all its Wards and members.  Our children are grown now and we are raising our granddaughter, Rebecca Conner.  She is a joy and we are grateful for the opportunity.  All our love to all who remember our little family.

Hi there Monterey! Time flies when were having fun! We moved to the area when I was only 12. My memories of my time there will stay with me always. Good and bad, lets be honest, besides after time fades your left holding on to so much good. Being a teenager isn't easy thats for sure. Although in my time those dances were totally amazing. Of course my brother made sure of that...hee hee. It was fun! So many good people out there, I remember  so many of my leaders who were exceptionally kind to me. I am grateful, very grateful for my experiences in the Monterey Stake.  Now I am living the life! Thats right it's a great one! Living now in Utah with my husband and kiddos and we,re running our own business and enjoying being parents.  We laugh everyday and are grateful for each day we have together. I hope all goes well with the anniversary party! We have so many wonderful memories of Greenfield, & Salinas.  We both grew up in Salinas and met at a Stake Dance in Monterey. All of our children are now married except Alan, and at the moment we have 16 grandchildren.  I remember as a child going to the little church on Iverson Street. I remember when we dug the ground for that church.  Ron joined the church in 1975. We married in 1980 and are living happily ever after in Missouri!

Scott and I are enjoying a busy life in Boise Idaho, where we are surrounded by our six children and (up til now) 13 grand children.   Scott is busy on the Student Stake High council and overseas the Institute Programs here at Boise State. He also enjoys teaching at the Institute and  is still working as a dentist here and his law practice in California.  I am busy in Relief Society and enjoying all my grandkids daily.  Life has been good to us and we send all our love to our friends in Monterey Stake and hope life has been good to you.     I (Liz Mitchell ) grew up in Salinas you may remember, my parents Ken and Shirley Mitchell, my brothers Keith and Kenny. We were in Salinas 2nd ward and Prunedale ward depending on the boundries at the time.  I married Hal Henderson in 1997 and we moved to Orem, Utah.  Hal lived in Salinas 2nd ward from 1989-1994.  My father passed away in 1991. The rest of us now live in Utah, my mother Shirley is in Farr West with Kenny now called Ken,  and his wife Ana. Keith and Nancy are in Roy . This website has been so much fun, a big thank you to those who have worked so hard on it.
